Welcome to One Photographers Journey! First and foremost I would like to thank you for taking the time out of your busy day to visit! I am truly honored and will do my best to provide useful information about the places I visit and people I meet along the way. I am a very fun loving easy going guy and therefore will keep it that way as I blog. My travel blog will have a bit of a different twist than most you have probably visited. While I will give general information about each place I visit, I will usually have a photo of one particular place or person that I meet in each destination and blog about that. I promise to make it interesting and provide some wonderful photographs and stories along the way! I hope to provide you, my reader, a sense of what contributed to making a particular place a destination by introducing you to an interesting landmark or person. I love to get off the beaten path as far away from interstates as possible for it is here where I seem to find the most interesting people and places. What I like to call the real America!
I am a native of Virginia, and this is where my love of travel and photography began. I am the eldest son of a Civil War buff who loves to travel all over the Mid Atlantic region visiting Civil War Battlefields and other areas of historical significance. I guess it was only natural for me to catch the travel bug and decide to pick up a camera to document things. Today, I reside in a small town in Northeastern North Carolina with my family. I am a Dad to two wonderful children my daughter Taylor and son Ansel. I love sharing the many places I have visited with them today. It is pretty cool to be someone’s hero and always encourage any parent to include your children in everything you do. It is truly the most rewarding thing I do.
In closing I’d like to share a little about myself. I am Rick Anderson, an entrepreneur, photographer, web designer, social media enthusiast, internet security consultant, traveler, hiker, fly fisherman and all around outdoors-man!
